Happy 6th Gotcha Day Emma

We're not up to writing a whole lot with all the sads going around.  But, we are furry thankful for our Emma & furry glad she's here with us.  We are just gonna take some time to be thankful that we're all together & Mama's gonna take a little time to go visit our Baby Cole (he's doing amazing!!).

We love you Emma...we're so glad we gotcha!!

Goodbye sweet Parker

Perfectly Parker has gone to the Bridge.  We all have furry leaky eyes...we love Parker dearly & she will be missed by all.  Purrs, purrayers, hugs & love go out to Parker's pawrents.

Happy Birthday ML!!!

Today is the birthday of a furry special person...Auntie ML!  We wouldn't be on here with a bloggie if not for her, so we want to wish her a furry HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!  We love you Auntie ML!!

Beau has gone to be with his mom, Cathy.  We can just imagine that joyous reunion!

Please keep Rose from Rose & the Royals in your purrayers.  She did such a wonderful job of taking care of Beau until it was time for him to go Home.  We are keeping her in our hearts & purrayers.

Baby Cole is home!

He's home with his grandma & papa & settling in quite well!  Mama got to see him yesterday & she couldn't get over how much he's grown.  When he left the hospital Thursday he weighed 12 lbs 6 oz, hard to tell what he weighs now, he's quite the little piggy!!
Mama thinks he looks like he's plotting something in this picture!  He smiles all the time & is just such a good natured baby for all he's been through.  He has a genetic disorder that causes him to not be able to tolerate glucose, it's very rare & the dr told them there are only 300 cases diagnosed in the world.  He's got a tough road ahead of him, but we know prayers can get him through!

Baby Cole is coming home today!!!

Baby Cole is FINALLY coming home!!  He looks happy about it too!  He will be coming home to his grandma's house because unfortunately, his mama is not really prepared to be a mama.  Especially to an infant with medical problems.  She loves him dearly, but she needs to learn to take care of herself before she can take care of him.  But anyway, he will have LOTS of love & wonderful care & most likely be spoiled rotten as babies should be!!  To think that 2 months ago we didn't even know if he was gonna survive...now he's a happy healthy big boy!!
We know we have our furiends & their beans to thank for that!  Mama doesn't have he words to tell you how much you mean to us or how to thank you properly.  You have been here for us, even before we started blogging & now Mama's eyes are leaking, so we just want to say: THANK YOU & WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Sad Day

We just learned that our furry good furiend Fin ran off to the Bridge on Monday.  We have leaky eyes & heavy hearts.

Another update

We're almost scared to post this, cause efurrytime Baby Cole gets close to leavin the hospital he gets another illness.  But, they are supposed to remove his central line Monday or Tuesday & Baby Cole is supposed to be able to come home the end of next week!  We hope we didn't jinx him by puttin it out there, but we know that some of our furiends & their beans have been sending lots of good thoughts for our baby...and we just can't tell ya how much we appreciate all of ya!!

In other news...Mama bought us some crunchy foods that we aren't happy with.  She forgot that she bought it for us before & we didn't eat it furry good.  She told us that we have to wait until next week to get our good crunchies back.  Next week???  How cruel is that??  Surely there is someplace we can turn her in for cruelty to kitties......

Baby Cole update...

Things did not go well, so Baby Cole is still in the hospital & will be for a couple more weeks.  He came down with Rotovirus & is having diarrhea again.  At least he's still doing great on his formula.
Hopefully he will get over this & FINALLY get to come home!!

Good news!!

If all continues to goes well, Baby Cole should get to come home from the hospital tomorrow!!  He's 7 wks old & has only spent 2 days not in a hospital.  We are all so happy & excited, we can't  believe he is finally coming home!

We want to thank you all again for all the purrs, purrayers & good thoughts that you sent our baby & our family.  There are no words to express how much you mean to us.  We love you all!!

Baby Cole update

Baby Cole is still in the hospital...he's been at St. Louis Children's hospital for 42 days & we still don't know how much longer he'll be there.  His little body does not process sugars well.  They started him on a sugar-free formula awhile back & added a little more glucose each day, he tolerated it for awhile & then the major diarrhea came back.  Now even the Pedialyte causes him to have diarrhea.  They were supposed to start him on a new formula with fructose yesterday but Mama hasn't heard how well that worked.  If it doesn't work, then sometime next week they are going to do an endoscopy on him.  The GI doc said he may have a very rare genetic disease & won't be able to process ANY kind of sugar.  Not sure what happens if that's the case, he said we'd cross that bridge if we came to it.

With the TPN feeds, he's growing...as of Wed. he weighed 10 lbs 11 oz!  Mama & Auntie Lori snuck down to see him on Wed. & got to spend a little time loving on him.

Grandma & Cole

 Mama & Auntie Lori had a good visit with Baby Cole...it was furry hard for them to leave him.  He is doing just awesome!  They are introducing simple carbs into his formula a little more efurry day, as long as he keeps it down & has no diarrhea.  Mama got to change a poopy diaper at 3:30 yesterday morning & was sooo happy it was "normal".  The GI doc asked her if she wanted to bronze it, she told him yep & that she would set it up where efurryone could see it!

We did find out Sunday that he has RSV, a respiratory virus that can be furry dangerous for babies with compromised immune systems.  He's had to have his nose suctioned out but so far his lungs are clear.  We're just purrin & purrayin that he continues to do well.

They are still talkin about him bein on the TPN (nutritional feeds) for a few more weeks.  But as long as he gets well that's all that matters.

We wanna thank efurrybuddy again for all the purrs, purrayers & well wishes for our baby.  We think they've made a world of difference for him!





Sad, sad weekend

It's been an awfully sad weekend for all of us in the CB.  First, Dad Mark from Kattonic Cats crossed over the Bridge on Saturday & then we read that Scooby from Little Cat Feet crossed over on Sunday.  We have furry leaky eyes here.
