Mama is conflicted........

When Mama went food shopping, she bought a bag of "cheap" cat food for the stray kitty. When she was feeding him/her today, Mama checked the front paws & Stray Kitty is declawed. We knew he/she belonged to someone because of how friendly he/she is, but we don't know if he/she is lost or has been abandoned. Mama just knows that declawed kitties should be inside kitties. That's where the conflict comes in, Mama hates to leave the kitty outside, but she doesn't want to stress us out by letting him/ her in. That & we have no green papers to take the kitty to the v-e-t to be checked out. Mama is just sick to her stomach worrying about the kitty. She knows if we were lost, she would want someone to take us in & take care of us. Does anybuddy out there have any suggestions??

I say take her to the local vet (not the shelter we've found them to be kind of sketchy with returning lost kittehs) and have them scan her for a chip- not an exam or anything. they should NOT charge you to scan. If you can find a microchip you can contact the company and who knows, maybe someone from the vet would recognize her. it's worth a shot! and you'd feel better for trying.

I hope you are able to help the stray kitty find her home. HOpefully, she wasn't abandoned.

Oh no I can only imagine how awful. Someone may be missing her. Hansel's suggeston sounds a good one. Then you could try gently introducing her/he to you all . Maybe you would get on.. Hugs GJ xx

It's good that you care about this little one. We don't have any ideas to add, but we'll be purring that someone can help you and the stray.

If you take her in to the vet, I'll chip in to pay the bill. And I'm sure others in the CB would too.

All the above and maybe you could put up signs around the neighborhood. Poor kitty. Maybe she was just strolling around.
But she shoudn't be left out if she is declawed. Keep us up to date and my kitty Kenzie and I will keep yall in our prayers!
